Habitable Spaces: A Sustainable Farm & Artists Residency

Founded in 2011 - in Kingsbury, Texas in the USA - Habitable Spaces is a community arts and agriculture project in which artists are invited to create large-scale interactive art works while exploring alternative forms of living. These artworks become installed as a permanent part of the farm, creating a space that over the years will become a more comprehensive and collaborative project with each successive year.

The Market Gardener - Jean-Martin Fortier

Jean-Martin Fortier started his journey into farming via internships and WWOOFing along with his wife, Maude-Helene Desroches. The pair eventually began their own project on rented land and honed their skills over the years. Jean-Martin recently took a couple of years out from farming to write the book 'The Market Gardener: A Successful Grower's Handbook For Smallscale Organic Farming' - he contends that it is possible to make a healthy living from just a few acres of land.
