This seminar is for farmers and landowners, advisers and land agents, researchers, young people including students and apprentices and others involved in the food supply chain. It will be of interest to farmers considering conversion, as well as established organic farmers and growers and those involved in developing agricultural and environmental policy.
This is a training opportunity from The Kindling Trust. You will be shown how to set up an organic food growing business, learning from the growers themselves. Starts this Spring - so hurry!
The Kindling Trust Kindling works towards a more sustainable food system for Greater Manchester and has set up a number of projects including Feeding Manchester, the Land Army, and FarmStart Manchester (an incubator farm for brand new growers)
The Workers' Educational Association (WEA) are running a number of Permaculture courses across the UK. The WEA is a charity supported by a skills funding agency contract and as such their courses are open and free to UK and EU residents in receipt of specified means tested benefits.

Firstly, you’ll be liaising with potential authors, proof reading, editing and preparing books via print-on-demand (POD), with Lightning Source, and working to produce all our publications as ebooks. The aim is to produce two new books per year. Secondly – blogging, writing content for the website, and most importantly, brainstorming.
Northern Austria: a fortnight set of worskhops/ natural build festival/gathering 9th-23rd August stimulated by the need to finish renovation of a traditional stone farmhouse. The structure will be structurally sound by then, and will want to be lime /clay plastered, with rocket mass stove, dry stonewalling and straw bale and cob wall construction, clay-encased wall heating set in cob, reed mat insulation....theres loads to play with, its a great place!
Crooked End Farm is a lovely organic holding in the Forest of Dean, looking across the Wye Valley across to the Black Mountains. Starting in April 2015, we are seeking a Land Partner to take on the growing enterprise at Crooked End Farm, and later in the year we will be looking for another Land Partner to take on the running of our beautiful farm shop, cafe and other retail activities.
