The Soil Association looks for new apprentices and hosts for their Future Growers scheme.

Training the next generation

The Soil Association Future Growers scheme is looking for more host farms to train up the next generation of organic growers. The scheme now offers six month placements for trainees as well as our proven two year placements for apprentices.

We find that host farms reap real benefits from committed and passionate staff who bring fresh ideas and energy into your business. You get to pass on your skills and knowledge and play a valuable role in helping to train our future growers.

Grants for Certified Organic Smallholders

Loraine Trust grants of up to £2500 are available to certified organic farmers/growers for projects that aim to benefit your holding and its wildlife.

You need to work between 1-150 acres of land, to have a yearly household income of less than £24000, to send full details of your project before 15 March 2014 to The Loraine Trust,
Greencombe, Porlock, Somerset, TA24 8NU.
