Description
This is a smallholding on 4 acres.The livestock consists of 20 milking dairy goats 2 males and kids .We are a micro dairy and use the milk for cheese and yogurt. Any one interested in cheese craft are welcome to try their hand at making some. The dairy products are sold in local shops and farmers markets
We have 6 geese, ducks, silkie, and Peking bantams Buff Orpington and Marran hens. There is an Organic garden and wooded area.
The smallholding is in North Northumberland not far from the start of the Pennine way, Holy Island and the Scottish Border.
Nearest town is Wooler.
Knowledge of agriculture or horticulture is not necessary, just a keen interest in a sustainable way of life.
We keep bees. The bees are quite docile and easy to handle. Bee suits are available for those interested in the craft of beekeeping. We are still in the process of renovation and planting. The garden has been neglected due to ill health.
