Description
We take volunteers to enable people to learn the importance of regenerative organic food production and a low impact lifestyle. We are evolving and exploring ways to achieve this.
Babbinswood Farm is 185 acres; 170 acres of pasture, 1 acre fruit and vegetable garden with two polytunnels, 4 acres of mixed woodland which is used by groups for overnight camping, outdoor activities and bush craft during the summer months
The farm is managed by my middle daughter, Casha and her husband Adam. Casha has a micro-dairy, rearing calves naturally with their mother cows and selling milk directly to customers from the farm; the remaining grassland is used to graze sheep using Holistic Planned Grazing. Also at the farm is my veterinary practice where I practice holistic therapies.. My youngest daughter, Ally, also lives with me in the farm house and she is creating a farm shop here at the farm as well as hosting a Food Assembly hub for local producers.
