Description
We are a 177 acre organic farm - mostly grass, small area of arable, small apple orchard and some woodland. We keep suckler cows, sheep and a free-range breeding flock of Norfolk Black turkeys. We also run a wood boiler which heats 2 houses (this is carbon neutral heating - we don't burn oil).
If you come here as a wwoofer you may be helping with with turkey plucking (December), cleaning and moving turkey houses (February and March), logging and preparing firewood (summer), apple harvesting and apple juicing (autumn) or many other things. One job that always needs doing is cooking - so all wwoofers get to help with preparing meals.
We try to run our farm and live our life in a way that is as sustainable as possible - so we welcome like-minded Wwoofers!
