Description
We are a 12 acre smallholding. We grow the bulk of our own fruit and vegetables using organic principals. We have plum, pear, apple and walnut trees and a recently planted orchard of half an acre. We breed Wellsummer, Legbar, Indian Game, Rhode Island Red and Light Sussex hens. We are in the process of planting new woodland to supplement our existing wood resources which we use for both cooking and heating. Plans are afoot to get a polytunnel.
We offer accommodation in our house with excellent home cooked food in return for help with our many projects which include gardening, fencing, pruning, looking after the chucks, hedge laying, tree planting, bramble clearance etc. We may also offer you camping as an alternative. We always have projects on the go and if you want to offer help in a beautiful location we will make sure we provide you with work that you will find rewarding and fun.
