Description
In 2010 I acquired this 50 acre croft on the lower slope of Tap O'Noth ancient Pictish site. I have rare breed sheep, fattening pigs and have chickens and horses, cats and dogs. Run on my own, with occasional casual help and the support of my elderly mother. We lamb in April. Weaner pigs arrive in March. Both very busy times.
There is general maintenance, fencing and tree planting to be done and my next project is to clear out and re-instate and old dam with a view to producing our own electricity via a mirco hydro scheme. There is also work to be done in a polytunnel and in re-establishing a garden.
We have a range of farm buildings and run B&B and Barn camping, see website.
A fully qualified equine massage practitioner, I would be happy to instruct a WWOOFer. Accommodation would either be in house or barn camping. Great area for wildlife, walking Whiskey trails and castles. Please ring any evening for further information. We look forward to welcoming you to our home.
