Description
Our wood is 60 acres of chestnut coppice with stands of beech, scots pine, douglas, cedar and giant sequoia. It is the base for a collection of small enterprises: a cafe, forest school, woodland products business. And a growing number of members who come to help out and share their skills. The wood is also open to the public for walks, BBQs, camping, parties.

We recently took over the Woods and are in the exciting early stages of developing it as a hub for artisans and an instead-of-school. Plans in the pipe-line include: chestnut cabins for visiting families and apprentices to sleep in, new workshops and studios to allow more people to work here, a swimming pond and a new meeting space.

We are looking for people who can help with some or all of the following: green wood-working, carpentry, building, gardening, forestry, maintenance, house-work, cooking, and chicken-keeping.

Our children don't go to school much so we are looking for people who enjoy having kids around.
