Description
We live in Co Down, on the east coast of the Ards Peninsula, about 20 miles east of Belfast. We have approximately 30 acres of land, mostly woodland and garden, with a few fields which are currently let to a local farmer. The 19th century arboretum contains many rare and unusual trees and shrubs; Rhododendrons, magnolias, camelias etc. We are restoring and revitalising the gardens and need help with clearing and cutting brambles, pulling ivy off trees, general clearing of fallen trees and debris and making bonfires. Also weeding, mulching and replanting, identification and labelling of trees and shrubs.

We have an old wall covered in ivy, and needs clearing. We also have a stream which flows through the property and this has become clogged with fallen branches and debris, and we want to get it cleaned up and flowing properly. We would like help with splitting logs for the woodshed and gathering kindling. We grow a few herbs and vegetables but would like help to develop this, as well as a new area for growing flowers for cutting.
