Small equestrian holding in a very attractive rural area of Cambridgeshire. We are situated 10 minutes walk from the nearest village, St Ives, which has a number of churchs, some excellent pubs, post office, small high st etc. We would like a few help with the animals (2 horses, 1 pony, a cat, chickens, one guinea fowl and Koi Karp) and the garden. We also have ongoing low key projects renovating the house inside and out. Horse Riding may be available for someone experienced. We are flexible, social and easy going. We have a TV with Sky, and are connected to the Internet.
We have a 4 bed house (built circa 1850) and small front garden 1 hour from London city centre by train. We want to establish some order and need to plan vegetable plot, Poly Tunnel, Allotment areas, compost from Horse manure, water wells, paths and walls. We don't have much experience but an experienced WWOOFer might be able to help us get going. In return we can offer food, room in the house, or camping ( preferred) and internet connection.
Need help with: inspiration, gardening, maintaining buildings, tending to poly-tunnel, hedgelaying, fencing, preserving etc etc etc. Possible future projects: Pond digging, improved chicken accommodation, post and rail fencing. Interests include : Piano & saxaphone instruments available. Can offer basic piano tuition.
We are looking for help during the week (we are close to London) Weekends by special arrangement only. | View |

SORRY BUT FOR THE TIME BEING WE ARE NOT ABLE TO TO OFFER PLACEMENTS FOR WWOOFERS.
The 350 acre farm on the Dorset Downs, registered as fully organic for 20 years, is mostly dairy with pigs and arable, including wheat for thatch. There are 2 full-time employees but still plenty of assorted work to be done, including helping with stock, weeding, harvesting, hedging, maintenance, etc. Sometimes there is a comfortable 1 bedroom cottage available for WWOOFERS. There will be some long days but also plenty of time off; bicycles are available for exploring. Would suit a couple or 2 friends, as well as individuals. | View |

This is a land-based co-operative of 8 adults and six children, which owns 20 acres of land. Three households live in the village with the land, the rest live nearby. We run an organic salad/vegetable scheme, are developing apple orchards, low input meadows and woodland. We keep geese and pigs as part of our land management policy, but also for meat as part of a Community Supported Agriculture project. We have three years' funding for a community vegetable growing project and are expanding our polytunnel area, and the amount we are growing. Summer work includes maintaining the vegetables, watering, doing salad deliveries, haymaking, raking and weed control. In the winter we concentrate on ditching, tree care, orchard planting. Normally we graft fruit trees in late March/early April. Different members of the co-op commit to working with wwoofers on different days of the week, and we are open generally for volunteers on Mondays, Fridays and 1st and 3rd Saturdays. Accommodation is with family in the village in a straw bale building - be prepared to interact with young children and small dog! Help is appreciated in the household's vegetable garden and allotment. Interests include music, cycling, environmental activism, alternative technology and green building. As a community we are seeking planning permission to live on the land as a sustainable, low-impact community. | View |
