 | This is a permaculture farm in Kent. Most of us live in benders (structures made of hazel poles with tarpaulins over them) We have some accommodation in a large caravan for guests but be prepared for a pretty primitive existence. We have solar power and a well but no running water.
There are several gardens around our 23 acres, some coppice and we keep pigs (Chickens ducks etc to follow soon). Our rule is with volunteers is that if they work with you you feed them for the day. All of us have seperate projects around the place so there's a variety of tasks to get involved with. We're pretty flexible about how long you stay or what days you work but on days you don't work you will need to feed yourselves.
Hope to see you soon. | View |

 | Communally run 80 acre organic farm. We eat, work & make decisions together whilst sharing a large Welsh stone farmhouse & its outbuildings. We aim to live as lightly as we can with deep consideration and respect for our planet, each other and ourselves. All our power is produced by sun, wind and water; we grow as much of our food as we can, we use our horses and tractor for carting and haymaking, goats for milk and cheese and aspire to live life slowly enough to enjoy the rich pleasures of this glorious land. Sorry, but we no longer accept WWOOFers who come by aeroplane. The environmental cost of flying far out-weighs the benefit of your visit. Please see our website for more info. | View |

We have a pedigree herd of Blonde cattle, officially based on another farm as they aren't organic; and a herd of Sussexes which are organic (100 head of cattle in all at present), as are the 3 sows and followers and 40 ewes. All our produce is sold through Farmers' Markets and we are generally 'involved' in a lot of activities. We aim to support a lively rural community, to put good food onto plates and encourage diverse wildlife at the same time. Be prepared for a lot of mud, hard work and good cheer. | View |
 | We are a small holding set on 8 acres of land and over the last seven years we’ve planted 3 acres of woodland, have a big vegetable plot, polytunnel, pond, meadows, flock of chickens, 2 cats and 2 dogs. Our main activities are maintenance of the land to promote wildlife, building green structures, running vegetable garden, and a small low impact campsite with tipis and yurt. We grow and use our own willow to make fences and small structures on the land, grow without use of pesticide or herbicide and make our own compost for vegetables and flower garden. Help needed: gardening (weeding, watering, planting etc.), woodland maintenance, logging, cutting brambles. This summer we also plan on improving chicken accommodations and re-covering polytunnel with wwoofers help. We are situated just 1 mile from the beautiful east coast of Anglesey and Snowdonia National Park is nearby. We can accommodate 1 wwoofer or a couple at the time in the cottage. We farm 70 acres, and aim to produce as much produce as we can to feed our community of 20 residents, many of whom have learning difficulties, plus our 20-odd staff. We would appreciate help with both horticultural production of vegetables, and the care of our animal stock - including pigs, sheep, cows and poultry. We have a fantastic location in North Norfolk - help us and enjoy! | View |
 | We run a small farm from a renovated water mill with vegetable gardens and livestock. Much of the work relates to the restoration of the farm. Proper organic farming and stock management depends upon traditional field barriers and traditional infrastructure. We are also committed to renewable energy, using traditional sources, like water, as far as possible. In addition to our everyday farming tasks we are therefore engaged with hedge laying, hedge restoration, wall building, clearing neglected areas of the farm, restoring the water courses for the mill and such like. We make these points so that it is clear that a lot of our work is relatively heavy (digging, shifting stones and the like) and so would suit fit and energetic people. We should prefer longer visits as that would give sufficient time to train people for the tasks, none of which require high levels of skill. There will be a trial period of one week to make sure that people have chosen the right place. | View |
 | We are located in Ceredigion about 1 mile from

 | We are in North Wales, near Llanrhaeder with its waterfall. With three acres of woodland, rambling cottage gardens, orchard, soft fruit and vegetables in a tranquil dramatic and secluded setting.
A busy 18 months has seen the start of organic vegetables and fruit, the ornamental garden is being restored. The renovation of the house is almost complete, offering warm comfortable and hospitable accommodation with good food and conversation.
We work part time from home and need help with every aspect from planting and pruning to landscaping and possibly DIY.
We try to live sustainably and in harmony with the land.
Terracing raised beds and composting are major projects: as is the restoration of soft fruit and orchard. Water harvesting/wildlife will involve pond making. The woodlands need work: thinning and creation of coppice for heating and raw material for structural/garden timber needs. Long term we wish to run a meditation/retreat center combining our love of the land with our spiritual interests. | View |

This is a land-based co-operative of 8 adults and six children, which owns 20 acres of land. Three households live in the village with the land, the rest live nearby. We run an organic salad/vegetable scheme, are developing apple orchards, low input meadows and woodland. We keep geese and pigs as part of our land management policy, but also for meat as part of a Community Supported Agriculture project. We have three years' funding for a community vegetable growing project and are expanding our polytunnel area, and the amount we are growing. Summer work includes maintaining the vegetables, watering, doing salad deliveries, haymaking, raking and weed control. In the winter we concentrate on ditching, tree care, orchard planting. Normally we graft fruit trees in late March/early April. Different members of the co-op commit to working with wwoofers on different days of the week, and we are open generally for volunteers on Mondays, Fridays and 1st and 3rd Saturdays. Accommodation is with family in the village in a straw bale building - be prepared to interact with young children and small dog! | We are a workers co-op. We are 2 families with 4 male children between us! They are aged between 3 and 9. Our kids are a big focus in our lives and are currently home educated.
Our drive is to live lightly on the earth and work with the earth. Our interests are: basket making, teaching permaculture, blacksmithing, bee keeping, felt making, climate change campaigning, socialising, walking, swimming in the sea, making music, meditation, yoga.
Our beautiful 15 acre small holding is situated 2 miles west from the small old cathedral city of Durham in the north east of england. Although we are in the countryside we have an excellent bus service and the near by national rail link in durham. We are surrounded by good off road cycle networks and walks. We are near to a great coastline and also upland walks.
We try and live a low impact lifestyle.
Everything here is very basic. The wwoofing accommodation is peaceful, warm, dry and of an adequate size for 1 or a couple. You have your own cooking area where you cook your own breakfast and evening meals (food provided) apart from one shared meal per week.
Lunches in the day are shared with the workers.
Washing facilities are limited. Heating a kettle and using a small tub, a solar shower in the polly tunnel, a wash in our river (summer only!) Or a trip to the public baths. Clothes washing is similar but long term wwoofers will be lucky enough to have my mum put your clothes in the washing machine from time to time.
Electricity is limited. We are off the grid and have a small turbine and few solar panels.
The toilet is a shared compost toilet.
Rainwater is collected for washing and drinking water is brought on site ( a well is being made at the moment)
Depending on the season that you arrive the work comprises of running our organic veg box scheme for approx 40 members - so lots of gardening. Some ecological building work, looking after hens and sheep. Maintenance jobs like track making, fencing, gate making.
Other possibilities include: fruit picking, tree planting, coppicing, felling,
Please don't expect to do all of these jobs! It depends on when you are here and what is going on at the time!
Wwoofing hours are generally between 10 am and 4pm mon-friday. These can also change slightly depending on what is happening at the time.
HAPPY WWOOFING! | View |

 | Our farm has been fully organic since 1988. We are now registered with Demeter - with an interest in Biodynamic principles. We are situated on 104 acres with 30 acres vegetables (we grow over 60 varieties), 50 acres grass, a growing orchard, 9 polytunnels and a greenhouse for plant rearing.
We have a beef cattle suckler herd with approximately 20 cows, with offspring. We also have 5 flocks laying chickens (300 hens), we rear our own replacement hens and meat birds.
We aim to grow high quality organic produce (we have won awards for this) at affordable prices, which we sell via our box scheme (approx 150/week), to hotels, shops and wholesale. We are constantly aiming to improve the farm structurally, our techniques and knowledge. We specialise in growing some unusual vegetables.
Work on the farm includes repairing our ancient stone hedges, renovating barns, stone walling our new packing shed, which has a small organic shop in which we sell our products. Also planting, growing and weeding crops, working in the packing shed, with the chikens and on occassions, with the cattle.
We make our own conserves and bread. There is a professional kitchen for your use and cooking/cleaning of communal areas are shared out among wwoofs. It is a busy working farm providing our only income. Skilled help and long stay is welcomed all year round. | View |

We are completely off any mains services, so all outputs are composted, biodegradable. Part of the land is being left for wildlife.
Help is particularly appreciated from those wishing to learn skills, helping to develop our current projects, which are, planting out bio fuel willow, and basket willow, general tree planting, vegetable growing, exciting development of a forest garden tree nursery, propagating seeds, and all possible edible and useful perennials, development of a new design wind and solar power station, and development of 12volt lighting, and 12v electronics, fencing and maintenance, re covering the polytunnel, and renovating the house. There is a cosy caravan, and plenty of room to camp, there is a compost toilet, spring water. There is a shared vegan kitchen. It is a low impact gift economy project, but facilities are basic at present, until we develop more with the help of volunteers. We are completely off grid, so have a small dvd, but no TV. | View |

 | We live in an old stone house in the fishing village of Tarbert. We have a sailing dinghy and
canoe which we use in the season to fish and explore coves and islands.
Carina is a village G.P. (doctor) and does homeopathy as well as mainstream work. Ed heads
up a Government-funded Green project in the village which helps villagers reduce energy in the
home and use renewables. Peter is 11 and at the local school.
We are also building a new timber house further down the coast. As of writing the house is still under
construction and we are laying out the drainage system and planting up shelter belts and preparing to plant crops.
Our current house in Tarbert has an established garden which we have developed over the past 7 years and includes fruit trees and soft fruit. Ed is a permaculture teacher and designer
and keen bread maker.
We also work on a community garden in the village which specialises in herbs. We follow Biodynamic principles. Ed sings in a Gaelic choir and edits a local magazine on history, archaeology and ecology. We have a big book collection. | View |

 | Three miles North of Carmarthen and one mile off of the A485, we are a 6 acre smallholding with panoramic views over the Carmarthenshire countryside. We raise a variety of traditional farm animals on a small scale which provides us with a source of food. We also grow a range of vegetables and soft fruits both outside and in our 30ft polytunnel. Visitors would be involved in a variety of activities including animal care, general gardening and planting, harvesting and indoor activities such as jam making. We would like to share the skills we have learnt with others, but would also welcome learning new skills from our visitors. Short stay and weekend visitors welcomed. | View |
