Seems like there's a buzz in the air about WWOOFing at the moment and now we're in the news - The LBKA News [that's the London Beekeepers' Association] The article is called 'Why not try.....WWOOFing?' and came about after our very own Amanda Pearson met one of LBKA at the Edible Flower Show.
"Steve [a WWOOF UK host - pictured above] heard about WWOOF through local friends who are smallholders – and joined in 2008. He says he has had many great experiences and met lots of interesting people through WWOOF and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants a hand with their land and has a desire to share skills and stories with keen helpers."
"In 2014, after providing for her friends and family, Christine [a WWOOF UK host - pictured above] had a good year, with an excess of 12 jars of honey being sold in the village shop, and also the thrill of trading some more in return for a Christmas goose with some neighbours who are WWOOF hosts too."
