City of London Growing Locality Awards 2016

If your organisation is based in any of the London boroughs and involved in local community projects then this is an opportunity to be awarded a cash prize and plenty of kudos - as well as well deserved recognition.

Here is a brief summary of what these awards are all about:

The Growing Localities awards have celebrated interesting and innovative ways of using nature to enhance London's communities and citizens since 2012.  We have received more than 500 entries since then. In 2016 £5000 will once more be available in prize money for the best entries. The winners and runners up will be recognised at an awards ceremony in the summer of 2016.

To be considered for the awards your organisation should be a project or initiative which fulfills the following criteria:

  • Using nature to support families in the communities
  • Nature and inclusion for people with physical and other disabilities
  • Innovative projects in schools for children and young people
  • Community projects focused on sustainable horticulture.
