An opportunity exists to take part in the development of a young forest garden project.
This is what Debbie at Golden Valley Forest Garden has to say about this 'golden' opportunity:
"Looking for practical help and experimental ideas for my young forest garden in Herefordshire (Welsh border). I am going to be overseas with my art work from the middle of 2015 until early 2016.
Is there person, people, or group, interested in developing (and experimenting with?) the forest garden a little further during the course of the year, and doing a bit of regular management?
In exchange I can offer (for the whole 2015 growing year - ie from as soon as you wish) the use of the polytunnel (10x4m), your own outdoor growing space negotiable as required, use of fruit crops, seeds, propagating etc."
"I really want to take the forest garden further and see it mature one day for the wider good, but am on my own with doing the work, and feeling a bit out of energy! My long term vision is for the full 2 acres to become its own unique fg. An edible, seed, and propagating oasis. The land is classed as non-residential agricultural land but could be tent camped on for 28 days of the year. Maybe a long weekend once a month? All ideas and suggestions welcome."
