As a member of WWOOF UK you will of course be aware of what it means to WWOOF, but do you know what LLOOF is all about? Well, as the acronym suggests - Living & Learning On Organic Farms - this is a project which focuses on the educational aspect of the WWOOF exchange.
In accordance with the WWOOF UK protocol of holding the AGM & Membership Weekend in a different location each year - on a cyclical basis - members in each region of the UK have an equal opportunity to attend without having to travel far. The event does have a strong magnetism however and draws them in from every corner of the UK.
This year is the turn of our members in northern England to have this fantastic event on their doorstep and we are searching for that special place we know is just waiting for us.
An opportunity exists to purchase an organic vegetable growing business which comes with the following recommendation:

The BOOM (Best of Organic Market) Awards 2016 is an annual event through which The Soil Association celebrates all things organic. This includes both people and businesses; farmers, caterers and product brands - all involved in the positive changes we now see when going to buy our food.

This year our members weekend and AGM was held in mid-Wales; hosted by Old Chapel Farm. This was the perfect setting for the event and we were treated to fantastic accommodation, great food and a warm welcome. The weather for late September was unseasonably warm too but the nights were therefore [shockingly] cold. Due to Old Chapel Farm's lofty situation in the welsh hills, the sky at night, devoid of any light pollution, was fantastic- so many stars!
