Description
2 acres. one-third acre orchard + poultry, two-thirds veg, (polytunnels/soft fruit/herbs). Ducks and chickens for eggs. We share milking goats for milk, yogurt & pot cheese. Currently using traditional organic cultivation and rotation with biodynamic applications. No-dig systems and permaculture forest garden. Organic since 1998. Aim to live a sustainable lifestyle using organic, biodynamic and permaculture systems. Can teach organic gardening - all areas, countryside conservation and management, polytunnel growing. Winner of Soil Association 'Best Box Scheme Award in 2002' although we no longer run a veg box we do attend regular markets. Diana is a medical herbalist. Opportunities for herbal work is limited by need and season. This is a busy working smallholding and we welcome visits from enthusiastic people who like to get involved and want to prepare for this lifestyle themselves. Close to coast and moors with beautiful walks. Great vegetarian food (please specify any other special dietary needs when you apply) and varied and extensive library. Rob used to wwoof. Ideal for enthusiastic people who want to experience smallholding.
