Description
Our cottage is a beautiful, old stone cottage, on the southern edge of the Peak District, Britain's first national park. An area of immense beauty and a paradise for walkers and climbers. We are also only 6 miles from Alton towers, Britains premier theme park
It is a smallholding of some 1 1/2 hectares. We keep sheep, pigs, poultry and bees. We also have extensive fruit and vegetable gardens and a polytunnel. We aim to live naturally and sustainably, growing as much of our own meat, fruit, vegetables and wine as time and labour allow. We have three children, so foreign WWOOFers, from different cultures are particularly welcome. Of course, any WWOOFers who share our values and work ethic, and have a sense of humour, will be welcomed.
On a practical note, we can provide a caravan for 2 people and cooking and toilet facilities.

There is a shop, pub and cafe in our village.
