Description
We are a smallholding in the Dartmoor national park, situated at the end of the road surrounded by ancient oak and hazel woodlands and a short walk away from the open moorland. We have hens and dogs and ponies , a veg garden and polytunnel and various fruit trees and bushes. We try to lead a low impact lifestyle aiming to grow lots of our own food and source our wood and meat locally . We are working towards using the ponies to help us gather the firewood. There are two homes here, myself and two children in one and a like minded couple in the other. The woofing accommodation consists of a stone bunk barn with double bed, woodburner with oven, double futon sofa, armchair , gas stove and kettle, If this is occupied there is the possibility of staying in a bell tent. The local market town is Tavistock which has a thriving market and farmers market, about 15 mins drive away.
