Description
This is mainly a livestock holding 200 acres in all, and has been here, and been organic, for 31 years. WWOOFers should be prepared for livestock work. We have a pedigree herd of Blonde cattle, and a herd of Sussexes which are organic (70 head of cattle in all at present), as are the 3 sows and followers and 80 ewes. All our produce is sold through Farmers' Markets; so WWOOFers should be prepared for the farm to be even busier on Saturdays and Sundays. We are generally 'involved' in a lot of activities, including summer showing of the Blondes.
We are unable to accept WWOOFers who smoke or who travel by air. Don't forget to bring wellies.
At times it will be appropriate for WWOOFers, as part of the skills exchange, to be part of the farm outside of their minimum hours. This has to do with the nature of livestock work.
