Description
The farm is in a quiet glen approximately 5km from the small village of Glenelg in NW Scotland. Within the Glen are two of the best preserved Iron Age Brochs in mainland Britain which draw visitors all year round. We have two commercial polytunnels in which we grow a range of organic vegetables, predominantly salad leaves which are sold through local outlets. Assistance is required with all aspects of vegetable growing and harvesting throughout the season, from March to November. There is also a small coffee shop run from a vintage Showman’s wagon for which we also need help.
Self catering accommodation provided in wooden bothy, compost toilet and cooking facilities, with shower facilities nearby. Bicycles available for trips to the seaside or village (shop and pub), local bus service for journeys further afield.
