Organic farm in High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Views to South Downs National Park (approx 30 mins) Ashdown Forest (approx 15 mins) East Sussex is where William the Conquer invaded England in 1066; very much a medieval landscape. I own 26 acres (plus 35 rented) 32 Sussex beef cattle with calves, 12 pigs, 1/2 acre of vegetable garden, 50 plus Light Sussex chickens. Two ponds. Hadlow Down has pub which can be walked to. Local shop is Buxted (approx 1 mile away) We live in Eco-log cabin. Accommodation - small room in the home, or camping available if preferred. Have wood gasification boiler, underground rainwater tank and reed bed. Try to be self sufficient as possible and also have farm gate sales. Aim to provide local food to local people. BBQ for cooking as well as kitchen. Duties: weeding, planting, harvesting/watering vegetables, creation of vegetable beds, cattle movement, cutting/splitting wood.
