Description
An unusual woodland farm on Dartmoor National Park. There's no actual farmhouse in the 46acres of ancient woodland &organic pasture. The 'hosts' (Doug & Claire) live nearby about 4miles away. Volunteers stay in caravans or camp.

2017 tasks include processing timber, managing woodland, felling trees & replanting woodland, building barns &daily care of chickens &ducks.

Ideally suited to people with experience or passion for working timber; & scope for lots of learning & other activities. We aren't able to help people whose primary interest is learning English.

Ideally you will want to stay for one month minimum. This allows deeper understanding & help in managing the woods.

There is the opportunity to take on an area depending on expertise. Construction, forest-garden, pathways etc. We have some carpentry projects requiring attention.

Cooking is self-catering in a field kitchen, & basic food provided.
Accommodation in the caravan or yurt. Off-grid and close to nature, it's a special place to be and you are expected to live and work respectfully to each other and the environment.
People who love of nature & desire to help in working woodland very welcome.
