Description
Our land is meadow and woodland. We live as greenly as possible. We grow our own vegetables, forage and have our own water supply and solar panels. We use a biomass boiler and grow willow to coppice for fuel. We need help particularly at coppicing time. This involves cutting with hand saws, pruning smaller shoots and stacking to dry.

We manage the meadow to encourage insects, small mammals, amphibians, wild flowers and biodiversity. We need help in July or August to mow the meadow. We have a petrol mower and a hand scythe for the smaller areas. The hay needs to be raked into stacks and collected using a quad bike and trailer.

We garden organically and there is often weeding, planting, harvesting or hedge planting to do.

We like our wwoofers to feel part of the family, so they eat lunch and dinner with us. But you can be quiet on your own when you wish. You would sleep in our spare bedroom, or in the cottage next to the house. We have wifi.
