Description
I am situated in the rolling green "Drumlins" on the edge of Rathfriland village, a rural farming community. The small holding overlooks the Mourne Mountains and is also half an hour from beautiful forests and beaches.

Activities include tending the permaculture garden, tree planting and maintenance, food preparation, old barn restoration using lime, fencing, splitting wood and drying.

I love sport and the outdoors and depending on the time of year there will be opportunities for active Woofers to go kayaking, mountain biking or mountain walking. Also eating good homemade organic food (mostly vegan) and log fire. A bicycle, guitar and reading area are available, plus occasionally the chance to go to a local folk music session or gig.

Summer 2018 Plans: Maintaining existing woodland. Preparing and planting veg and herb plots. Beginning to harvest and preserve e.g. berries. Tree pruning. Stone walls and restoration of barn walls. Also the chance to learn to make kimchi, kambucha and bread. Helping with B&B guests. If the work all gets done-we go find a river to cool off!
