Description
We have one acre of garden and 4 acres of field and woodland. We keep cattle, sheep and pigs for meat, hens for eggs, goats for milk and a horse and two dogs. We produce vegetables all year round and seasonal top and soft fruit. We also grow herbs and flowering plants.

There are daily routines and seasonal work on a variety of jobs including vegetable growing (from seeds, tubers and plants), fruit tree pruning and fruit harvesting, apple crushing and cider making, fruit and vegetable preservation, sheep shearing, wool spinning, weaving and felting, milking the goats, feeding and mucking out animals, repairing housing, repairing fences, hedgelaying and woodland work.

We have gardened and farmed organically for over 30 years. We have a 600 year old house, with wood fired heating and cooking. We have solar panels and a compost garden toilet (as well as WC's in the house)

Our two children were brought up here and have now left home. One of them is a WWOOF host in this area.
