WWOOF Meet-ups

WWOOF Meet-ups will be held around the UK this autumn and winter, to give you a chance to meet hosts and WWOOFers, and other members of the public interested in WWOOF. Meet-ups can be a refresher for WWOOFers and hosts, and an inspiration for the next generation of WWOOF members; each event will have its own unique flavour, but will include opportunities to share and listen to WWOOF stories, pick up tips, develop new skills, eat and drink together, and meet some of the WWOOF UK team.

Meet-ups cost £5.00 per person.

Burmieston Farm, Logiealmond, Perth PH1 3TL: 26th January 2019, 12pm to 5pm

Burmieston Farm is a family-run smallholding in the Perthshire hills, with geese, sheep and chickens, self catering accommodation, a young orchard and lots of grass!  The hosts, Keesje and Oliver, are looking forward to greeting WWOOF folk at this Meet-up, to share their interest in growing food, looking after and improving the land, climate change, and how to make humans and the land more resilient to the changes.  The day will be a chance to meet and chat with other like-minded WWOOF folk, learn more about what WWOOF is all about, and do some hands-on work with the sheep or plant some trees (and learn how to bake bread if the weather’s bad!)
