A new way for existing and potential members to explore the wonderful world of WWOOF - The Abbey, Oxfordshire on Sunday 28th October 12.00-17.00.
WWOOF Meet-ups will be held around the UK this autumn and winter, to give you a chance to meet hosts and WWOOFers, and other members of the public interested in WWOOF. Meet-ups can be a refresher for WWOOFers and hosts, and an inspiration for the next generation of WWOOF members; each event will have its own unique flavour, but will include opportunities to share and listen to WWOOF stories, pick up tips, develop new skills, eat and drink together, and meet some of the WWOOF UK team.
Meet-ups cost £7.50 for non-members, which we’ll deduct from your membership fee if you decide to join WWOOF. For current members it’s absolutely free to attend, but please reserve a place.
The Abbey is the venue for this first ever Meet-up; a retreat centre run by a community that have acted as WWOOF hosts for almost 10 years, invites you to meet their friendly residents in a celebration of the season of harvest, and to get an autumnal energy boost.
Come with something tasty for a bring and share lunch (hosts will be contributing hot soup to the communal meal). There’ll also be a swaps table so please bring anything you have a surplus of or no longer need.
You’ll be given a tour of the beautiful site, and also a choice of interesting conversations or practical skills-swaps to include jam making, bread making and tool sharpening throughout the afternoon. Or you could do a mini WWOOF!

Do come and join us in an end of season celebration. We'd love to hear your WWOOF stories!
